November is here, which means we are counting down the days until we stuff our bellies with food from Thanksgiving dinner and celebrate our festive holidays that take place in December! The end of the year always gets busy with fun holiday festivities that take place. Whether you have your own parties or attend someone else’s in South Riding, make sure to have fun!
Also, if you are going to join in on eating all the delicious treats that in for the holiday season, remember to practice good oral hygiene still. If you are always on the go, try to take a travel kit with you that includes a toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, and mouthwash. This way, while you are hopping from event to event, you can still maintain a great clean smile.
If you have braces, there are some holiday treats you should stay away from to avoid damaging your brackets or wires. You can have cookies, but gingerbreads tend to be very hard; stay away from gingerbread altogether in order to risk any damage. Also, stay away from candy canes, peanut brittle, fudge, anything with nuts, and popcorn. Other than that, have a great time and treat yourself!
