Here are just a few of what to expect throughout the next few weeks in and around Chantilly.
Winter Walk of Lights
Meadowlark Botanical Gardens, Vienna
Up to January 5
If you haven’t visited the Winter Walk of Lights yet, you should make sure you don’t miss your last chance before it goes down. This lovely park is transformed into a half-mile walk of animated, colorful bliss every night, ending on January 5th. Enjoy a whole host of expressive light shows and enjoy some roasted marshmallows and hot drinks at the end of your walk.
42nd Annual International Sax Symposium
George Mason University Center for the Arts, Fairfax
January 10
Hosted by the US Navy Band, this huge event is going to show the best of local and regional saxophonists, as well as the bands that play with them. The Symposium will feature over 130 performances, classes, and lectures, and is perfect for both players and the wider public alike.
Home and Remodelling Show
Dulles Expo Center, Chantilly
January 19
A must-see for lovers of interior design or just those planning to renovate or update their own home. This event will see businesses and celebrities, both local and national, take to the stage to share advice, show off the latest trends, and to have all kinds of interesting conversations about home improvement and design ideas.
Chocolate Lovers Festival
Central Fairfax Chamber of Commerce

Some people won’t need much more than the title alone to convince them to come along to this incredibly sweet event. Local chocolatiers and chefs will be showing all kinds of chocolate treats and beverages. Just make sure you have a check-up scheduled with your local dentist after to ensure you haven’t done too much damage to yourself.
Chantilly International Gem and Jewelry Show

Love everything that glitters and glimmers? Then you’re going to be surrounded by temptation at this expo that shows the best in jewelry from local retailers, national chains, and smaller creative outfits. There you will be able to check out a wide range, including the latest trends and some more various items, and you might even get the chance to walk away with some souvenirs.
Amazing Farm Fun’s Spring Festival

March 21
Starting in March and ending on April 19, the local fun farm opens up to offer a wide range of activities perfect for families. The main attraction? The Easter Eggs Hunts that see families running all over to find the goods before anyone else!
DC Bluegrass Festival and Band Contest
The Falls Church Episcopal, Falls Church
March 28
Come join for a whole afternoon of excellent musical performances by the very best in local bluegrass music. Three bands will take to the stage in the 2020 Mid-Atlantic Bluegrass Band Competition, but there’s plenty of jamming to be enjoyed off-stage with this massively musical event.
Festival of Colors 2020, HOLI DC

April 19
The Festival of Colors is a local celebration of one of the world’s most colorful and entertaining festival days. These local celebrations include music, both live and a DJ, interactive dance shows, cuisines from a range of cultures, beer and wine, and plenty of activities that are good for the kids, as well.
Explore Wellness and Craft Expo 2020
Providence District Office and Community Center, Fairfax
May 9
At the expo, you can get a chance to meet exhibitors and vendors from the community, including creatives and small businesses, all of them straight from local communities, including Chantilly. This expo aims to shine a light on local efforts to raise awareness of health, wellness, and social issues through arts and crafts.
KidsFest
Manassas Museum, Manassas
May 16
A Spring Fair is designed to show off the best of products, services, and resources for your kids from local businesses, as well as some regional and corporate exhibits. The parents are going to get all kinds of information on what’s good for their kids, but the kids are going to enjoy a bouncy castle, arts and craft stations, music and dance, and plenty of food.
